Welcome!
My name is Danielle Serna and I am the Subject Matter Expert and Mentor Teacher for English and History. I enjoy teaching English because communicating through reading, writing, speaking, and listening is essential for success in college and in every day life.
I chose to become a teacher at ASU Prep because of their high expectations for student success and for their reputation for preparing students to finish college and compete globally as they enter the work place.
I was born and raised in Arizona and moved to the Casa Grande area when I was in junior high. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Education (with a minor in Psychology) as well as my Master's degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. My husband and I, along with our two little boys, are huge baseball fans- Go Dbacks, Go Sun Devils!
I am very excited for the 2016-2017 school year and look forward to being a part of the ASU Prep team!
